Fuel filler neck and cap

 A lovely solution for the fuel filler cap, it is IVA compliant with radiused edges and locking fuel filler, from Car Builder Solutions.

So to make the filler neck I kept a part of the MX5's metal pipe which has a breather hose in it, if you dont you will spend all day at the petrol station when trying to fill up.

Pic below is what is cut off and discarded.

I am using a mk1 fuel tank, its an easier fit than a mk2 and has the benefit of a drain plug which the mk2 doesnt. However do note that the mk1 tanks fill inlet is different to the mk2.

I bought some 51mm ID ultra flex filler hose from CBS, a reducer pipe from Every Exhaust Part Ltd (great company btw) and then had to source some flexi the right size for the mk1 tank which CBS dont stock. I found a Gates flexi pipe online and cut all to size.

Just need to dismantle it, paint the metal joiner and get some suitable hose clips now.
